The caring and professional touches really spoke to our hearts; for our loved one Ernestyne McGee was well taken care of. From the moment I reached out to Lydia Pearce; she ensured me that she would be by our sides and she kept her promise. She answered all of our questions with a level of dignity and dedication to honor momma. Lydia’s kind words and respectful guidance helped to make a difficult task more meaningful. Mr. Khemare came to the house to receive momma’s body. He was very professional, courteous, and sympathetic to me during the worst time of my life. As he prepared to take mom to Metropolitan Mortuary I had my gospel music playing and the song playing was “Soon I will be done by James Cleveland”. He rolled her out as the song said “I’m going home to be with GOD” he stopped and allowed me a moment to say “I miss you already momma, I Love you”! Their personal touches to each detail are greatly appreciated. Lydia thank you so much, momma, looked beautiful and at peace. Her fingernails oh her nails; that’s my mom all day. Mr. Newbern it was a pleasure meeting you the day of momma’s service. Your kind words and professional touches meant so much to our hearts. True dedication and integrity matter when a family is grieving. Every detail expressed how compassionate and caring you and your staff are. We are so blessed and thankful to each of you for caring for our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Phone Call: “Hello, I know you don’t remember me from many months ago, but I remember you. You were so helpful and kind when I talked about you doing my dad’s service. I wanted to thank you even though we did not you use your mortuary. My sister decided on another place, but they (the other mortua...ry) were not as together as you. It was chaotic, they were rude. I don’t want to speak badly of another place, but I regret not following my heart to use you guys. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong (sobbing, tears) . He really deserved better. Mr. Newbern you are now my recommendation. You know how to make people feel comfortable during a difficult time and I know the service would have been better.”

I was so stressed behind my mother’s service plans (in the hospital). Metropolitan, you put us at ease and kept us calm and gave us the best. I have helped others plan funerals of over 15 years and it must be said, you are guys are out of the box with service. Metropolitan is personal, give dire...ct attention to details and know ‘the flip’ what they are doing. I felt so good that our friends said, “they gave us water and snacks to our kids – who does that” “they were polite and nice to us”. My family got out of control, but you stepped in and handle things like pros. We will tell everyone how great Metropolitan is – we want you to blow up! My mom was in the hospital for 6 months, she looked damn good.

Today's service was so emotional, but memorable. You are so orderly and organized and it shows in the details. My health is not the best, so I have given your information to my family for that time. I want to the same for me.

Before we planned our preneed arrangements we did research on you and your funeral home for months. The results were all good (from preachers, even from other mortuaries - we checked). I was impressed by you and your insurance agents knowledge, honesty and level of care. I am never impressed with anyone, never.

When we walked in the chapel to look into the casket I was SHOCKED! He looked like himself - better. I have seen so many bad experiences at funerals and this was great for me. I needed to see him as I remembered him, and the mortuary did it. You will be the only mortuary that we will recommend to our friends. Well done.

My family is so grateful to you and your staff. We had our grandmothers cremation at Forest Lawn last year and spent over $6000 and never say her. But you guys, we had cremation, urns and viewing without embalming for under $1500 - that is amazing. Thank you Shun.

I was concerned about driving the distance for the arrangement and when your staff was willing to come to my home, I then knew this was the right mortuary. The level of care you provide my family and our guest was excellent. You made my husband look like himself. I cannot say enough about your commitment giving 100%.
