Obituary

Life Reflections Danny Gonzales Jr. was born on June 15, 1993 in Indio, California to Cristal Ann Balderama as her first born son. As a small child Danny grew up with his uncle Christopher whom he was close with. Christopher being only six months older than Danny gave him his first nickname "papoo" because he didn't know how to say Danny. In 1996 Cristal married the love of her life Lewis Gainer and shortly after had their daughter Emily Gainer and became a beautiful blended family. Lewis accepted Danny as his own and was the only father Danny knew. They had a unique bond and special love for one another. At the age of seven years old Danny moved to live with his grandma, Emily Gonzales who raised him until he was sixteen years old. Growing up Danny was very energetic and rambunctious. He always had lots of friends because of his happy lighthearted personality. In highschool he was named class clown and was known as a jokester. Danny also enjoyed skateboarding, playing video games, and listening to rock music. In 2009 Danny moved to Hawaii to be reunited with his parents. Shortly after his sister joined them and there family was restored. In Hawaii Danny was introduced to the ministry of Victory Outreach and experienced God for the first time. He was apart of the youth ministry called God's Anointed Now Generation and found his purpose and a sense of belonging. As a young adult Danny encountered hardships but even through his struggles he remained focused on God's plan. He found himself in the Victory Outreach Christian Recovery Home in riverside where he built his faith and relationship with God, learned spiritual discipline, and learned how to lean on God's word. While being in the Men's Home Danny loved reading his bible. One of his many favorite scriptures was, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. We will always remember Danny boy as a happy go lucky person that always remained positive and had a smile for every person he met. His precious memories will live in our hearts forever and we have solace in knowing he is resting in the hands of our Father. He leaves precious memories with his parents Cristal and Lewis Gainer; his sister Emily Gainer; Nephew: Jaylin Gainer; Grandmothers: Emily Gonzales and Viola Gainer; Uncles: Christopher Alvarez, Victor Archuleta, Eric Gainer, Cyrus Gainer(Ursula); Aunts: Patricia Johnson(Charles); a host of cousins, and other loving relatives and a vast number of dear friends.
