Mr. Antonio Altreche Obituary

Service are pending. Antonio Altreche was born on March 10th 1924. In Aguada, a little farm like corner of a small town within Quebradilla, Puerto Rico. His parents, being poor were unable to send him to school so he learned the basics he needed to get by. He started to work as a young boy in the fields and farms, and later he self-taught carpentry and later maintenance which became his only source of income and support, until retiring in the late 1980s. In 1943 he met a beautiful blue eyed woman, fell madly in love, and in 1946 made her his wife. She became Mrs. Maria Altreche. By 1948, they had their first born. Elsie Altreche. Two years later, moved to New York to pursue a better way of living. Soon after became a superintendent of an apartment building in which he worked for many years to come. Not long after, they had their first son Raphael, and then Lucy, Nelson, Tony, Sonia, and Danny Altreche, soon followed. In the late 70s, he moved his family to Connecticut, and into their first home. Antonio was a hardworking man, everything he put his mind to, he accomplished. He was not a quitter, in fact he didn't believe in quitting. It was because of his push, dedication, and love for his family, that he was determined to give them contrary of what he lived as a child. Just like every married couple had problems, they had there's. But Maria and Antonio was forever, they worked thru all of it and never called it quits. When they're children were old enough, they sold the house in Connecticut, and moved to California, and made California their home. In 2011, His wife Maria Altreche died, and as my grandfather used to say; "mi mujer se me fue y me dejo solo". He said he wanted to go with her and always be with her, with tears in my eyes and a lump on my throat I told him that he will one day be with her together again. That time has come. On December 9, 2012, they came together once again and forever, their love is. For eternity, you can rest in peace now Grandpa, your with the love of your life, tu mujer.
