In Loving Memory
Charlie H. Martin
December 15, 1961- December 28th, 2020
Charles was born in Louisiana to Vera Hester and Charlie Martin Sr.
Charles was married for 25 yrs to Desiree Martin. Together they raised three amazing children. Jasmine Hodges, Charles Martin III and Charree Martin. He also had two adorable granddogs Bella and Kobe.
Charles served in the United States Marine Corps for thirteen years. He earned the rank of Sergeant, and was awarded several medals, badges, ribbons and Commendation letters of appreciation. After leaving the service he started his long career as a machinist. For a large number of those years he worked for Hayden Industries in San Bernardino California. He came from a large beautiful family. He was a family man. He was caring, dedicated and reliable in all facets of his life. He worked hard but he also knew how to relax and have fun. His life was full of travel, celebrations, backyard barbecues, and Laker games at one of his favorite places, the Staples Center in L.A. One of his other favorite places was his lazy boy chair playing Call of Duty and other favorite video games. Anyone could tell you he lived his life to the fullest. He had immense love for his family, friends and coworkers. He was proud and happy with the fullness of his life. At the end he fought hard to stay with us but the Lord had the last word.
He will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
“For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lords.”
